December's Birthstone- Blue Topaz
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Properties: associated with compassion and communication. Promotes truth and forgiveness, relaxes body and spirit. Can be used to strengthen emotional support, whereby stabilizing emotions and making the wearer receptive to love from any source.
Proper care of a blue topaz: use warm, soapy water, then dry with a soft cloth for cleaning. Never clean in a steamer or ultrasonic cleaner. Topaz is known for splitting apart easily. Guard it against sudden changes in temperature and any type of acid. Because it is easily bleached by heat and UV light, it should be kept out of the sun.
